This year we decided to try an evening visit to Cottesloe to see the Sculptures.  The drive down was hectic through the traffic but well worth it as it was glorious.  The ocean was as still as a millpond and the air was warm.  Eleven Spokes wandered at will and enjoyed the sculptures at their own pace.  We had booked dinner for 6.00 at Il Lido opposite the beach, but when seated realized it wasn’t what we wanted, so very politely excused ourselves and left.  Fish and chips were enjoyed by all and we caught the sunset just as the sun disappeared below the horizon.  Quite a spectacle.
