Chapels on Whatley

Chapels on Whatley was suggested by a wheelie as an interesting place to visit.  She had seen a programme on Destination WA in which the restaurant was highly recommended.  It’s an easy train ride from Midland situated opposite the train station on Whately Crescent.  It was a bit of a walk by the time the ramps or steps are negotiated but manageable for all.  It is advertised as having a creative Eurasion menu in an eclectic café doubling as a shop selling fine teas and Asian antiques.  The décor is old worldish, very “cluttered” in an attractive way, with many nooks and private corners to dine.  We all enjoyed our meals and struggled to eat the large portion supplied.  One wise soul chose from the Small Plate Menu.  A short walk along the street after lunch and we were able to be photographed with two stylized Penny Farthing bikes on the corner.  Thoroughly enjoyable!!
