Canning River Walk

A nearly full bus, once again toting raincoats & umbrellas we wended our way to Kent Street bridge, only making one U-turn!

We all set off across the Kent Street Bridge to walk, stroll or meander along the varying-length walk trails. A magic day with plenty of water in the melaleuca wetlands.

One of the most stunning trails in the Canning River Regional Park, this four kilometre dual use trail took us over sedge meadows, through mature woodlands, over creeks and amongst the crowns of a paperbark forest. The rain held off and the sun peeped out from behind the clouds occasionally. We all gathered together at the café to fortify ourselves, enjoying each others company, a very pleasant day for all.
