Loved Subiaco Art Trail

Our visit here was certainly not disappointing. We caught the train from Midland utilizing the ACROD parking space right outside the station, and travelled direct to Subiaco. The art works inhabit a variety of spaces from large works taking up a whole wall, to sculptures, to the front of buildings. Some of our favourites were tucked into alleyways between buildings.
A passerby, seeing us looking at the map, directed us to an unfinished mural in an arcade near Barker Street. This one featured little characters doing a whole range of activities using a single brick or a few as their stage. The detail was amazing. There was a dance band, a diver, someone playing cricket and so many more. This was spread maybe 30 metres along a wall. The search for a prawn took us into the Children’s room of the Library to a very large mural by Shaun Tan which was done 20 years ago. A very tasty lunch was had at Café Café at Subiaco Square before we enjoyed the return trip on the train.
