This exhibition invites you to step into the world of National Geographic’s Oceanxplorers and enjoy a hands-on ocean adventure.

Having stepped inside Mission Control, the Wet and Dry Labs, and other real working spaces where scientists study the ocean every day we learnt how researchers discover new species and explore some of the most remote parts of our oceans.  We also saw how tools like robotics, submersibles and mapping systems help scientists explore beneath the surface.  Real expedition footage and engaging technology make “complex science easy to understand.”  Not so sure about that!  The take home message is that if we understand the oceans better, and the life within, we will care for it more carefully.  We went to the Perth City Community Centre and partook of a very inexpensive lunch – cottage pie and vegetables, with tea or coffee for most of us then caught the train back to Midland where our bus was parked just outside the main entrance.  Can’t ask for more than that!
