wheelsinc1Dec 30, 20180 min readSing-FestFlash mob carol singing at Midland Gate: We were few in number as we left Mundaring in the bus, fervently hoping that we would find more silly oldies in red hats when we reached our destination, the food hall in the shopping centre – we were in luck, with about a dozen more plucky folk, mostly women, (what happened to the men from the Men’s Shed in Stratton and Mundaring who pledged to attend?) to lend their voices to the singing of Jingle Bells - the Australian version - and We Wish you a Merry Christmas, accompanied by Meg on keyboard and Brian on guitar. It was over so quickly, we warbled both tunes again – not much applause but no boos either, and we didn’t get evicted. Some folk chose to have a light evening meal, before heading back up the hill. We’ll do it again next year, hopefully with a bigger turnout and maybe a couple more tunes.
