This was an interesting excursion.  After picking up Lyn and Dale from “the tree” which continued on down to Fremantle and to Bathers Beach.  It had been a bit wet and wild in the Hills and it was windy at the beach too. We parked and looked around for the sculptures we were expecting to see.  We looked at Google and yes they were supposed to be in situ until the 21st May.  Today was the 20th.  However, there were none to be seen.  Although it was still early for dinner, but not particularly pleasant in the wind, we decided to opt for an early fish and chip dinner at Twin Fin Restaurant.  We debated whether we’d have the Seniors meal which was seafood chowder, fish and chips, ice cream and coffee.  We chose otherwise after debating what the chowder would be like.  When our food was ready the delightful shop owner (I think) bought us all a complementary small bowl of chowder to try.  It was delicious.  We enjoyed our dinner and the drive home.  Not a wasted outing!!
