Armed with raincoats, umbrellas and pac-a-macs we travelled down to Henley Brook expecting the forecasted thunderstorms and heavy rain! The 'Retreat' wasn't open so we had to make do with the programmed Swan Valley Station Nursery. Rather more than a nursery, it had windmills, rain gauges, steel cut outs and much much more. We dispersed very quickly, some to the nursery, some choosing gifts and others chose to take the walk around the "Dam Lake", great sculptures some by Will Wilson. We found donkeys, miniature horses and goats and a lovely children's playground for the few tackers there. Once we'd all done what we wanted to do we were off to enjoy morning tea, coffee YUMMY real coffee said one!!Tarts, muffins and scones were the order of the day and thoroughly enjoyed by the empty plates!! All without a shower!
