Open gardens in the Hills: ‘twas bright and sunny as we set off to visit three very different gardens tucked away down byways less frequented. Leslie’s Garden in Fagan Street was first and at 5 acres the most productive with a flourishing walk-in netted wicking bed vegetable garden, plum and fig trees, a grove of 120 olives as well as 300 acacia trees as hosts for sandalwood.
