A group of Spokes gathered on one of the tiers of the Amphitheatre at Sculpture Park on a beautiful evening. The first item on the programme was a solo singer/guitarist John Edwards from Darlington. He played some covers and some originals and was very pleasant to listen to. Next came the amazing The Illegals and they were superb. We recognized some very local musos in the lineup of drummer and four singer/guitarists. Laura South was very impressive playing the spoons in one number. They were energetic and charismatic.

Then came the Honky Tonk Heroes. These were more the country sound. One food van did a roaring trade and the ice cream van provided dessert. In all a most enjoyable evening.
